American Restoration: Volume 2

Can you go wrong with a classic
Some of the best shows from the restoration program. Its fun to see items folks have kept for years that need a bit of a touch up or a large make over. Seeing the beginning and the ending product to me is facanating. Great for you to see history and what can be done when worked by a master.

Short, interesting history lesson.
The history of the object is great. It is interesting to know how an item is restored. A relaxing program to watch.

How Do They Do It?
I've rarely watch reality TV, but this series captured my attention because Rick projects energy and likability and it is fascinating to see how skilled and resourceful he and his crew are.

The only question I have, is - in total reality - how could he possibly make a profit with the prices he quotes. The sort of skills his people have don't come cheap and he often has to send work to specialist subcontractors.

Top Shot: Season 4

Still fun, but the worst season yet
This was the worst Top Shot season so far. The producers seem to be relying on more gimmicks and less on shooting. The contestants seem to have been picked by a marketing focus group with no regard to actual qualification. When somebody wins, I don't get the feeling that they won because they are good shooters. More often, they won because they sucked the least and/or got lucky. The shooters that ARE good don't shine due to the nature of the challenges. In previous seasons, some shooters still managed to shine through all the BS. This season, less so.

Basically, all the usual things wrong with Top Shot just get magnified in this season--more heavy on showbiz, and more light on rigor. I expect the next season to have even more gimmicky weapons, even more watered-down and unrealistic challenge that are difficult for reasons unrelated to shooting ability, and celebrity contestants.

outstanding creative challenges
there is never a dull moment for even the non shooter on this show. The historical weapon use is remarkable.

Top Shot Season 4
Show was definitely a full 5 stars, Amazon however gets only 1 this time. Instant Video works great on my laptop, tv and Xbox. No android app equals total FAIL! Instant Video app only available on kindle fire meaning no access from my Samsung tablet or phone. Samsung products are the most popular and abundant these days. Very poor marketing decision. I will not bother to purchase any more instant videos from Amazon as most of the time spent watching such contant is on my tablet.

Storage Wars Texas: Season 1

Storage Wars Entertainment
Having been a storage unit buyer for the past 10 years, Storage Wars Texas has little more value than entertainment. Granted you may find a treasure one time out of every 100 units bought, unlike the treasures found in this fairy tale for TV. This kind of show has little to do with reality and has only been propped up by the storage industry to increase sales of the units.

Texas storage wars is stupid
your program make all texans look like idiots. The people you pick are so stupid it is hard to watch. The englishman is worse then anyone else you have had on. Don't think I will watch it anymore.

Don't mess with Texas!
I love watching 'Storage Wars Texas' on A&E. There are time when it can really get hilariousily funny!~~~~~~Especially when the other bidders (Moe, Mary, Vic, Ricky, Bubba and Jenny) all try to outbid poor Lesa Lewis on a locker that they know she wants. They never know what they are going to find in the locker. But.....we always know when Ricky finds something good. He'll yell "Hey! Hey! Hey!". When you hear that, you know that it's gonna be good. I didn't realize till I was watching that there is not only Season 1 on these 2 DVD's, but Season 2 as well! That's getting double the fun! I would very highly recommend this to anyone who loves the show!
